    Covered Bridge Resident

Yes, you may find a black snake at our covered bridges from time to time. This one was basking in a sunny spot inside the Trusal Bridge one day. Black Rat Snakes are completely harmless and feed on mice and other rodents. This one's descendants have probably lived in and around the Trusal Bridge since it was constructed in 1870.
