Snow obscures the Blairsville Riverfront Trail which follows the path of the Conemaugh River as it winds its way around Blairsville. The two mile long trail is a popular walking path for residents of Blairsville and the surrounding area.
Little Mahoning Creek is one of the most scenic and biologically diverse areas in Indiana County. The creek is home to the Eastern Hellbender and many other plant and animal species in the hemlock forests that line the stream and nerby hillsides.
The Blacklick Valley Natural Area contains six miles of hiking and walking trails that are also suitable for cross-country sking. Many of the trails in the floodplain portion of the property are lanes that meander through Christmas tree plantings and former farm fields.
