A load of coal cars passes over the Tunnelview Historic Site on the High Level Bridge.
At the Bow tunnel the works of man and nature combine to form intersting winter art. Water from the roof of Bow Tunnel drips on to the floor of the tunnel creating stalagmites. The stalagmites reach higher and higher as the winter proceeds. They often remain well after winter recedes.
Located at Bow Ridge just downstream of the Conemaugh Dam and across the Conemaugh River from our Tunnelviw Historic Site. The tunnel is gated on this end, on the other end a 20 foot concrete plug keeps the backed-up water from Conemaugh Dam from escpaing.
