Horse and buggies from a local Mennonite group had a procession after leaving church at their meeting house on Thanksgiving morning. The Mennonites in this group have a meeting house for church services, rather than meeting in homes like the Amish do. They also use flashing battery-operated lights and orange safety symbols on their buggies.
Pine Ridge Park received its first coating of snow on November 20, 2016, just two days earlier the temperature was 70 degrees here.
