The Red Spotted Purple butterfly has red spots underneath its forewings not visible in this photo.
The hawkweed is one of our common field wildflowers. It comes in an orange color also.
This pavilion at the Waterworks Conservation Area is available for use free of charge on a first-come first-served basis. There is no electric or water but there are restrooms and a large group grill available for your use.
