Serviceberry, also called Juneberry is known for its early white blossoms that grace our hillsides. This particular Serviceberry tree is planted at the Master Gardener's Garden at Blue Spruce Park. The all white flowers and blossoms in this portion of the garden are planted in memory of Master Gardeners who have passed away.
Several years ago we planted a variety of speckled violets in our garden. Over the years they continue to bloom. Some of the plants have reverted to a solid purple color but quite few remain speckled each year.
