Our word cloud mimics our logo and lists all of the sites that we operate, along with things you can do and experience at our parks and trails. In 2017 we celebrated our 50th year of providing county parks in Indiana County.
Located in Armstrong Township, the Thomas Covered Bridge is the only covered bridge of four remaining in Indiana County that you can still drive through. In early days snow was sometimes shoveled inside covered bridges so that horse-drawn sleighs could travel through the bridge smoothly.
The year 2017 marks the 50th year since the establishment of Indiana County Parks & Trails. On July 7, 1967 the Indiana County Commissioners authorized what was then known as the Indiana County Parks & Recreation Commission.
