The Pink Lady's Slipper is a wild orchid that blooms in our parks in early May. They are pollinated by bees that work their way into the pouch to collect pollen. Pink Lady's Slippers require very specific habit and soil conditions and should be left in the wild for future generations to enjoy.

The Longtail Salamander is a large, long and slender species. The color and pattern is highly variable. The background color ranges from lighter yellow, orange to deep brick red with black spots that will vary in amount, location and size over the body and sometimes be absent on the top head. The underside is light yellow.
