Indiana Roadrunners Club

The IRRC gathered at Blue Spruce Park on January 1, 2023 for a fun club run and walk to kick off the New Year. The IRRC has been a long-time and generous supporter of our parks and trails.

Vintondale Miner's Memorial Restoration

The unique miner's memorial along the trail in Vintondale was restored in 2022. The image of miners coming out of portal 6 was cleaned and is now visible once again.

Edward Abbey Mural - Carpenter Avenue, Indiana, PA

You won't find this mural at one of our parks, it is located on Carpenter Avenue in Indiana, PA. Edward Abbey was born in Indiana, PA, although he often told people he was born in Home, PA. Although best known as a writer of the American west his childhood in Appalachia remained influential to him throughout his life.
