This new trail shelter at the Blacklick Valley Natural Area is a unique structure in honor of two very unque people. The late David and Penny Russell were the donors of the property which is now the Blacklick Valley Natural Area, one of our most diverse habitat areas in our park system. A great place to walk, hike and enjoy the beuaty of nature.
At this location in northern Indiana County there are two tunnels, one for the highway and a second tunnel for a railroad. There is an opening between the two tunnels. The water in the photo is a small tributary that eventually enters Mahoning Creek.
