This young Wood Turtle was found crossing Martin Road outside of Indiana, PA. Wood Turtles spend their winters in the water but migrate on land during the spring and summer months. We don't see as many Wood Turtles as we once did, so it was nice to come across this young one as a sign that the population is still breeding here.
