Springs Peepers are not very large but whenever large numbers of them congregate the noise can be deafening. This is what the peepers look like when they are calling.
The Eastern Redbud is one of the earliest and most colorful or our spring blooming trees. These ones at Blue Spruce Park add a colorful scene to the park landscape.
Sometimes also called Stinking Benjamin the Red Trillium is found on moist, shady hillsides. It is found in several of our parks and in areas along the Ghost Town Trail.
