The tall spiky blossoms of Bugbane makes an appearance in our parks by mid-summer. It grows in moist shady locations and is a native wildflower to our region. There are nursery grown varieties of this plant that make a nice addition to a shady perennial garden. An easy to care for plant that adds some height to the garden.
Our gardens at Blue Spruce Park now include a new rose trellis built and designed by Christopher Weiland. The lattice work of the trellis is made from wood of the Catalpa tree. Eventually the roses will wind their way around and throughout the trellis.
