On Saturday, November 11, 2017 the Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority dedicated two bridges on the C&I Extension of the Ghost Town Trail. The bridges are located on Expedite Road near Twin Rocks, PA. The bridges feature the use of a fiberglass decking and railing, manufactured in Bedford, PA.
Cascading water provides the setting for this view taken from behind Buttermilk Falls. The stream located in the valley below is called Hires Run.
The Buena Vista Furnace is located along the Ghost Town Trail, about three miles east of Heshbon, not far from Route 56. it is the lesser known of the two iron furnaces located along the trail. The Eliza Furnace in Vintondale is more well-known and more easily accessible.
