Thanks to Paul Weston, local resident, the Harmon and Trusal Covered Bridges have a nice floral display this summer. Paul donated the flowers and planted them at the two bridges located in Washington Township, Indiana County.
Annual cicadas are heard in August and September, They make their buzzing sound by passing air across a membrane. The periodical cicadas, which emerge in late May and June every 17 years, are due to emerge again in Indiana County in 2019. We are what is known as the Brood VIII region.
