The Bow Tunnel is one of four tunnels located in Bow Ridge near the Tunnelview Historic Site, just downstream of the Conemaugh Dam. The tunnel ceased being used in 1950 and a 20-foot thick concrete stopper was installed on the upper end to keep the back-up waters from Conemaugh Dam from escaping.
Yellow Creek State Park is the only state park in Indiana County. The park is a little less than 3,000 acres in size and includes the 751 acre lake which is available for swimming, boating and fishing. There is a boat rental at the park. The park also rents camping cottages,yurts and pavilions. This photo was taken on the park's North Shore after a boat had passed the area.
