Tom's Run is a small stream that cascades from Penn View Mountain through Pine Ridge Park before emptying in the Conemaugh River, Within the park several bridges cross over the stream. Nineteenth century maps list the stream name as Tomb's Run, most likely after a local family name that is found in southern Indiana County.
After 23 seasons the Festival of Lights at Blue Spruce Park ends its run on Janaury 1, 2015.. During the festival the edge of Cummings Dam was lighted with these luminaries - always one of our favorite views of the festival.
