The Conemaugh Valley Conservancy has several interpretive markers placed at the Tunnelview Historic Site that tell the story of the canal, railroad and construction of the Conemaugh Dam. This plaque has information about the High Level Bridge located at the site, a railroad bridge that is still in use.
As the wetland at the Waterworks Conservation Area begins to freeze, light snow left some interesting shapes in the ice on this January 4, 2016 day.
Its not often that we see cherry trees blooming on the 31st of December but that was the case on December 31, 2015 when we saw these trees in bloom along South 6th Street and School Street in Indiana Borough.
