Heavy rains had this snapping turtle on the move on this early May evening. Snapping turtles on land are very feisty and should be given a great deal of respect. This one was particularly feisty and took several lunges at us while we photographed it.

Each year in early May these Bluebells can be found blooming at the entrance to Blue Spruce Park.
