This photo of Buttermilk Falls was taken by Indiana Gazette photographer Tom Peel in 2013. In 2018 Tom is retiring after working at the Indiana Gazette for 50 years. He started working for the Gazette in high school, developing photos in the Gazette dark room. He's photographed all of our county parks and events over the years.
Fred Rogers, who often visited Buttermilk Falls as a young boy, will be featured on a new stamp being issued by the U.S. Postal Service. Fred visited Buttermilk Falls to spend time with his grandfather, Mr. McFeely, who once owned the property that now comprises the natural area.
