New Access Ramp at Memorial Park Bandstand

Completed on May 22, 2020 the new access ramp provides handicapped access to our bandstand.

It's also a Cemetery

Although we call it Memorial Park the site is also one of Indiana, PA's first cemeteries. Burials started here in 1803 and continued until c. 1875.

Jimmy's Donation

After visiting Indiana, PA for his 75th birthday celebration the actor James Stewart sent a contribution to the Indiana Area Jaycees. The funds were used to upgrade and improve the park and this plaque at the park recognizes Mr. Stewart's contribution. Mr. Stewart's father, Alex Stewart, was instrumental in having the monument at the park erected. Jimmy himself reportedly left a penny under foundation of the monument.
