This photo came to us courtesy of Earl Carney, Jr. it depicts the Armerford Bridge which is located just west of Dilltown, PA. The railroad here was constructed in 1903 so we believe the photo was taken some time in that time frame. Today a trail bridge spanning 225 feet crosses this same location.
An aerial photo of Wehrum taken after the town was abandoned earlier in the 1930s. The large structure in the lower left corner is the Wehrum School which remained in use into the 1960s. The highway bridge in the photo was replaced and the road was straigthened out to remove the sharp bend in the road.
